“Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Dear Friends:

We’re all in, 100%! Epiphany is committed to G.R.O.W. (God Reigns Over our Work) in its vitality. God’s call to us in our ministry to Worship, to Children, Youth and Family, to Community Outreach, to Adult Formation, to Welcoming all, to Support, Prayer and Care continues to GROW and thrive. Recently, the Rt. Rev. Susan Goff, Suffragan Bishop, has said of Epiphany, “there’s a miracle happening here!” Thank you for being a part of God’s miracle work in calling us to GROW! There’s much to celebrate as we give thanks!

Save the date. You are invited to two very special events in the weeks ahead where you will have the opportunity to learn more about our promise to G.R.O.W. Celebration Sunday, October. 29th 2017 and “Sharing Sunday”, November 12, 2017.

*October 29 Celebration Sunday, in worship folks will share their stories of why giving for the glory of God is important to them. Following worship we’ll enjoy “speed dating” learning from our wonderful ministry teams, who will explore our dreams for the future of Epiphany over a casual lunch. At the same time we’ll receive our pledge commitment packets.

*November 12, Sharing Sunday, after a time of prayerful consideration, we’ll make our financial commitment to Epiphany’s ongoing and expanding ministries.

100% pledge commitment means we’re all in. Each and every one of us is asked to make a commitment to the life of Epiphany. In so doing, the leadership is able to determine a spend plan for 2018 that we may continue to G.R.O.W. Your gift makes a difference. Be a part of the 100% promise to giving this year. This week your vestry leadership, the governing body of the church, received their pledge commitment cards. On Sunday, our vestry will be offering their 2018 pledge commitment cards during worship leading the promise to be all in.

Epiphany is blessed with cheerful givers that we may share abundantly in every good work in making God’s world known. Come celebrate on October 29. Commit with a pledge promise for the life of Epiphany November 12. Be a part of us as GROW and where God loves us all, no exceptions.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. In the meantime, Women’s Bible study small group continues tonight at 7:00 p.m. in Room 146. Come on over on Saturday and help out with Parish Work Day beginning at 9:00 a.m. Sunday worship at 8:30 and 10:00 we’ll look at Jesus’ teaching on who really does own our money. Young kids in Sunday School are learning the Ark of the Covenant and older elementary kids are learning about why we worship the way we do! Worship is followed by Episcopal 101 for Adults and Confirmation for Youth as we dig into our history as the Episcopal Church. Are you beginning to think about the holidays? Children’s Choir and Praise band rehears during Fellowship time and Susan Buckner will introduce the Scrip program. Choose from hundreds of retailers; buy a card and a portion of your purchase will benefit Epiphany!! Sunday evening resident scholar John Rybicki continues teaching Science and Religion from 6:00-7:30. God keeps leading us along to GROW! Get all in! 100%!

See you as the week goes along and over the weekend dear friends. This is a glorious time to extend the invitation. Ask a friend, a neighbor, a family member to come along with you to share in the many offerings of Epiphany. You make a difference being all in!

Blessings,

Hillary
