God’s Love [LOVE] Sustains Us
Marilyn Reardon, parishioner
I have been part of Epiphany since before it was Epiphany!
What an exciting time for me when Epiphany was started as a mission church from Truro. After being a mission for only a year, Epiphany became a parish. How exciting to be a part of that growth! I could feel God watching over us to become that joy-filled church on the corner.
As life goes, we ran into challenges in our parish life. It was God’s love that sustained us through the times when we had to worship in places other than our church building. We worshipped in schools, homes, other churches, a country club!
It was Love that sustained us when we were meeting hither and yon.
Another exciting time for me was when we returned to this building. I saw us grow from 25 to over 100 with a new rector in place, and emerging once again from a mission church to a parish.
After the pandemic, I once again feel the excitement of God’s love sustaining us through new growth.
Through all of the ups and downs of Epiphany, I have felt God’s love sustain us. God was present when we started, when the split across the Episcopal Church impacted us, as we wandered, when we returned, through the pandemic, and as we return again.
Life at Epiphany has taught me that, truly, Love Never Ends.
