The countdown has officially begun! The 2025 Stewardship Campaign comes to us fully on Sunday 10/20!
You may have seen the You Welcomed Me signs increasingly displayed around the church these past few weeks! They are clues about the campaign. Have you noticed? Have you wondered?
What is a stewardship campaign? It is a time when together we commit of our time, treasure, and talent in celebration of who we have been and of who God is calling us to be in the coming year!
You Welcomed Me is a perfect theme for us at Epiphany whose missional engagement to our community and world is focused on addressing food and housing insecurity. Welcome is in our DNA, from the days when we met in a school to now, when we welcome many under our many roofs!
During the campaign weeks and beyond, we will share the many ways welcome is part of what we do and who we are, with God’s help! We will hear and read stories about Epiphany’s work in the world (and in our hearts!) through the lens of the theme You Welcomed Me. We will ground ourselves in the scripture supporting the theme:
…for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. –MTT 25:35
Together, let’s shape and build our engagement as part of Epiphany’s deep desire to make God’s love known in the world, so that every person who knows us well, and knows us only a little, can tell a story about how You Welcomed Me.
In peace and gratefully with the support and work of the stewardship leadership,
Rev. Dina ~ Rector
