I am delighted to announce that Rev. Dr. Mary Brennan Thorpe has been selected by Epiphany’s Vestry to serve as Interim Rector beginning July 1st.
Many of you may already be familiar with Rev. Thorpe or know her well, as she has worked within the Diocese of Virginia for many years and comes to us with a wealth of experience. Her most recent position was Canon to the Ordinary at the Diocese where she supervised a broad range of ministries including the following: transition, vocational formation, missional engagement and anti-racism, Christian formation, clergy discipline, conflict transformation, and congregational development. She has also served as Director of Transition Ministry for the Diocese where she provided pastoral support for parishes and parishioners, preached and presided in a variety of contexts, led Mutual Ministry Reviews and Vestry Retreats.Rev. Thorpe embodies the essence of Epiphany, where God loves you. No exceptions. She has the skills and expertise to guide Epiphany through this next chapter of our Church life, as we prepare for receiving the call from our next permanent rector. Please read Rev.
