Sacred Ground

This September, 2022, Epiphany Episcopal Church began its first dialog circle for the Sacred Ground program. Sacred Ground is a sensitive, prayerful resource that creates space for difficult but respectful and transformative dialogue on race and racism.

This small-group program invites its participants to explore and discuss a set of documentary films and short videos, selected readings, and two assigned books about race and reconciliation within the context of the living out of one’s Christian faith. It is a program that supports the commitment of the Episcopal Church to Becoming Beloved Community, through the work of:

  • Truth-telling: Telling the Truth about Our Churches and Race
  • Proclamation: Proclaiming the Dream of Beloved Community
  • Formation: Practicing Jesus’ Way of Healing Love
  • Justice: Repairing the Breach in Society and Institutions
